Spanish 1 students completed notes during a power point presentation on ser and estar.

Students created answers to the Final Exam Interview questions.  Tomorrow, we will complete the comparison of ser and estar.  We will learn how to talk about the near future by using "ir" + a + infinitive. Wednesday, we will take the Post Test.  Thursday, we will complete the Writing Section of the Final Exam.  You may use your verb folder.  Friday, we have a review of ser and estar in a "Chutes and Ladder" game.

Spanish 2 students reviewed the Preterite Tense.  Test Tomorrow over the Preterite.  Tomorrow, students will create answers for the Interview Section of the Final.  Thursday, we will complete the Writing Section of the Final Exam.  You will use the Reflexive verbs and the Preterite tense.  You may use the "magic books" and the "FUJI" sheet.

Spanish 2 created the "FUJI" organizer for the irregular verbs in the Preterite tense.

Spanish 1 is learning how to use the verb "estar" with location and feelings.  On Monday, students read and listened to the "fotonovela" for Chapter 4.  On Tuesday, students created their own cities by drawing a "map" with city locations labeled. On Wednesday, they will complete the city drawing and write sentences that describe the locations.  The vocabulary and directions are uploaded here:

Spanish 2 is conjugating verbs that are regular in the Preterite (past) tense.  They are creating a "Magic Book" and working on conjugation sheets and workbook exercises.

Spanish 1 completed the folder assessment.  They assembled "the magic book" for -er verbs.  Tomorrow, we'll finish creating the magic book and create a "Fortune Teller" for the -ir verbs. 

Spanish 2 learned hobby and pastime vocabulary through reading and listening exercises.  They learned the direct object pronouns and where they are located in sentences.  Chapter 3 Test on Friday.  Study Guide will be completed in class tomorrow.

Spanish 1 students used the Present Tense Folder to conjugate verbs and translate.  Tomorrow-Folder Assessment!  Bring your folder to class every day!

Spanish 2 students completed workbook page 23 and practiced exercises in the computer lab from the textbook website and studyspanish.com.  The lab sheet is uploaded:

Spanish 1 made corrections to the Present Tense Folders and created interview questions.  They interviewed 6 classmates about activities that they do or do not do.

Spanish 2 created dialoques that described rooms of a house, the chores that are done in that room, who does the chores, and complaints about the chores.

Spanish 1 students continued to work on the Verb Folder.

Spanish 2 students created a house plan with rooms and items labeled in Spanish.

Spanish 1 students applied reading comprehension to a story and a short essay on pets.  They began creating their Present Tense Folders.

Spanish 2 students completed a logic puzzle that incorporated nationalities, professions, daily routines, and food.  They received a vocabulary list for the unit on chores.

Spanish 1 students created the Family Project.  Every student needs to bring in a poster board by tomorrow.  We will continue to work on the project tomorrow and we will have an assessment over Family Vocabulary.  Presentations of the Family Project will be Wednesday and Thursday.  Friday will be a day of review.  Documents for the project and the vocab list are uploaded here:
