VP I Editing

BVP 1-9 Students will be able to identify different editing methods, equipment, and techniques and demonstrate them in the production of an editing story.

Identify and contrast analog and digital recording formats.  Distinguish between linear and non-linear editing.  Identify and describe recording and editing devices.  Describe operational parts of a recording device.  Set up and operate recording devices, and perform various editing techniques.  Operate editing equipment to coordinate with a script.

This week students will work on two shooting and editing assignments.  The first "the crush"  will be due at the end of class on wednesday.  The second  "pencil thief"  will be started once students are done working on the "the pencil thief".  Students will work on one workbook page assignment. And will have a Editing Quiz on Wednesday!

VP II Close up assignment

BVP2-6 Students will model techniques involved with studio production.

Demonstrate skills in selecting production topics.  Select appropriate equipment.  Set and adhere to production deadlines.  Demonstrate ability to block a script  using proper terminology

BVP2-9.  Students will create production graphics.

Identify various graphic creation hardware/software systems.  Design and produce graphics for production.

This week students will be working on a close up assignment that will be due on Thursday 3/1/12.  Students must include the three shot discussed in class.  Students will also learn about Lenses and will be tested over chapter 4 material next week.  The article summary for Feb is due 2/29/12.  No late article summaries will be accepted.

VP II Promotional Video

BVP2-1 Students will demonstrate basic planning, writing, directing, and editing of a production.

Identify and list different types of programs and productions.  Plan a program using accepted styles of production.  Identify staffing needs for a production.  Write a program using accepted styles of production.  Edit a program using accepted styles of production.

This week students will complete their commercials for a local business due at the end of class on Tuesday 2/21/12.  Students will also work on completing a promotional video for a Triple D Productions & the Cobb County Library, with the purpose of promoting Health aimed at elementary school aged children.  This assignment will be due on friday.  Students will also have a commercial, promo, and chapter 17 test this friday. VP I Camera/iMovie

BVP 1-11 Students will investigate and demonstrate ethical use of equipment and storytelling through their production.

Demonstrate ability to give and follow directions.  Demonstrate ability to function as a team member

This week students will be working on a shooting activity called Fruit Capers.The remainder of the week students will learn about editing. They will also work on various workbook pages that will reinforce what we are learning and working on in class. Students will need to bring in 5 pictures to go with the first editing assignment that they will begin Wednesday Feb.22.

VP I Camera Work

BVP 1-4 students will be able to demonstrate proper set-up and use of basic production equipment.

Demonstrate steps necessary to set up, turn on and operate equipment according to instructor’s directions.  Load, record, and play video/audio equipment.  Demonstrate proper picture composition techniques.

This week students will continue to develop their camera terminology.  They will continue to practice with various shoot exercises.  They will be completing workbook pages 15 &16 during class on Tuesday 2/14/12.  Students will also have a group shot quiz on on Monday 2/13/12, and notebook quiz on Wednesday 2/15/12, and a camera terms quiz on Friday 2/17/12.  They will also begin shooting an activity called fruit capers where they will follow a script to make a video that has a complete storyline.

VP II Local Business Commercial

BVP 2-2 Students will exhibit proper use of field equipment and its function.

Set up ENG equipment for field production.  Operate ENG equipment during production segments.

This week groups will learn about the various types of commericals.  Students will also work on producing a commerical for a local business.  Students must turn in the following information with the final product/commercial which will be due at the end of class on Tuesday 2/21/12.  Students will also work on producing PSA's for black history month during class and will work on Chapter 17 Producting. VP I Pre Production Camera Work

BVP 1-4 students will be able to demonstrate proper set-up and use of basic production equipment.

Demonstrate steps necessary to set up, turn on and operate equipment according to instructor’s directions.  Load, record, and play video/audio equipment.  Demonstrate proper picture composition techniques.

Students need to finish working on Treatment, Script, and Storyboard for Coke Product that we worked on Friday 2/3/12, this must be turned in by Friday 2/10/12.  Treatment, Script, and storyboard for Coke product will not be accepted after Friday 2/10/12, and those that have not completed it will recieve a zero.  Students will have the Pre Production test on Tuesday 2/7/12 Download Pre-production game test review.  The reminder of the week students will be work with the equipment.  Students will watch various videos and work on various shot exercises, and work book pages to familiarize them with the camera equipment.

VP II Stop Motion

BVP2-1 Students will demonstrate basic planning, writing, directing, and editing of a production.

 Explain how stop motion videos require advanced planning and editing 

This week students will be working on Stop Motion Videos.  These videos will be due on Friday.  Students will use class time to learn about and plan thier stop motion video
