Tomorrow we will start in the library.

Counterfeiting and Handwriting Analysis

Forensics-  Today we took some notes and did a lab on chromotography using various inks.

Thursday we will look at various paper monies and see what has been changed by the Treasury.  We will start an on-line activity that we will finish Friday.

Friday we will finish notes on ch 10 and the on-line activity.  We also will celebrate Mole day.

Stoichiometry Review

HChem- Today we reviewed for tomorrow's test.

Stoichiometry Lab

HChem-  We did a lab today where you predicted the amount of product you would get and then you calculated the percent yield you actual produced.

Tomorrow I will not be here.  You will get a sheet to practice % yields and limiting reactant problems.  The keys will be available for you.

Handwriting Analysis

Forensics-  We took notes on handwriting analysis and did an activity analyzing several handwriting samples.  Download Fsci-ch-10.-1

I will not be here tomorrow.  Bring work to do!

Presented Projects

Forensics-  You presented your projects today.  Two groups will go on Monday and we will look at how to analyze handwriting.

Stoichiometry and Limiting Reactants

HChem-  We learned how to calculate limiting reactants today  Here is the short ppt on limiting reactants Download Limiting reactants2  

We will have the 2nd half of the unit 4 test on Thursday, Oct 22nd.  It is over stoichiometry.

 

Forensics

Forensics-  Well.... we had only half the class here due to senior skip day.  One group presented their project, we made s'mores, and watched Crime 360 and some CSI.

We will try to finish presenting tomorrow.

Stoichiometry

HChem- We learned how to do stoichiometry problems today which require us to change substances.  Read ch 9 sections 1 and 2 if you need more clearification.

Mole extra credit due next Thursday.  Mole day is next Friday.  Bring in food to celebrate the day!

HChem-  Today was a crazy schedule day.  We made s'mores and you got your test back.  Storyboards were due today.
