Grades are all updated. The last grade entered in will be the speaking for this week. Don't forget that exam exemption forms are due tomorrow and need to be signed by a parent. Questions for the speaking portion of the final will be posted tomorrow. Students should study these over the weekend and be prepared to do the speaking portion on Monday of next week. Students are working on their final project this week. Presentations will be on Friday. Here is the study guide for the Final exam. Next week will be dedicated to reviewing.

Students will have a vocab quiz on Tuesday of next week and also have to turn in their articles that day as well. There will be a test next week on Friday over the grammar points covered in class, vocabulary, and testing their abilities in reading and writing.

Students took a quiz today over the Present Perfect tense and the hace que formulas. Next week they can expect a test around Wednesday/Thursday that will cover the following (some things may be added): preterite/imperfect, present perfect, past perfect, hace..que, Mayan Math, Mayan culture, vocabulary including prepositions.

Pobre Ana- on the front a notecard students wrote 5 words that they didn't understand from the chapter with its English definition. Then they wrote an original sentence in Spanish. Then on the back, students summarized the chapter in English in about 3 sentences.

Quiz this Friday over the 2nd portion of vocabulary.

Today in class we finished presenting articles and then we reviewed vocab with a little game. The students then had to create rules and consequences for their new version of Earth, trying to take better care of it.

Quiz tomorrow over the Mayan vocabulary and also over preterite and imperfect. Need to know when to use preterite/imperfect and why.

Skits were presented today and will be finished tomorrow.

They were also given a vocabulary list in order to start out the new unit.

A puzzle was given in order to practice the new terms and was turned in. If they did not finish in class, they are to finish it for homework.

In addition, tomorrow there will be a quiz over the imperfect. Students will have to know was the imperfect is, when to use it, and also be able to apply it in context (basically need to know the conjugation and the irregulars)

Learned how to tango today. We will be continuing with commands when we get back. Have a good break!
