Signed grade printouts. Quiz Chapters 1-3 of book 3. 2 groups: Group 1: Computers to complete outline.  The outline should be turned in today. Group 2: At desk working on outline or preparing for Socratic Seminar Thursday.  Among other ideas, the seminar will answer the question: “If Big Brother controls the present, can Big Brother also control the past?  Can Big Brother control memory?”  You will want to look at chapter 3 of book 3 to inspire some of your questions. Proclamation slide must be saved under your number.  We will collect these today on a flash drive that I will supply.

A Lot of people who have not turned in journals.   If you are not doing the work then you can’t be upset when you don’t understand or have difficulty in the next step.  These journals will become crucial when writing a quality paper over 1984. Senior Project: 4 hour mentor check next week Tomorrow: Bring your copy of 1984 to class. Research Paper: Go over final copy examples from packet and review outline format.  Outline will be Due Wednesday at the start of class. Station work: Half will be working on Computers and half will be reading 1984.  In 1984, you must have read through chapter 3 book 3 by Wednesday. Go over quiz: If you were here and you get a grade printout with a zero on quiz, come see me after class for no names. Grade printouts / must be signed by Tuesday and turned in if failing.
