To All (AP) United States History Students for the 2009-2010 School Year:
There will be two outside reading books this next school year:
1776 - By David McCullough and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee - by Dee Brown. The first book test will be at the end of August and will cover 1776. The second book test on Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee will be in December or January.
I will post a copy of guided questions to serve as a study guide for 1776 in the next week or two. Please check my Blog for information regarding the guided questions as well as any other type of communication during the summer.
Other summer posts on my Blog will contain the first copy of the Bare Bones (a study guide for each unit which contains terms and questions) for Unit #1 and a syllabus for the 2009-2010 school year. AP textbooks will probably be issued the first week of school in August so that we can get started immediately. Other AP- United States History or APUSH related books (including an AP Exam Text) will also be issued to students during the first week of school.
