APUSH Students....
Here is the schedule for this week and part of next week so that you can plan for your readings, assignments, and assessments accordingly. We will begin Unit #5 (Chapters 13-15) and complete it in four days. The Presidents Quiz scheduled for next Monday will be completed next Wednesday, February 29th. Please print this out and keep up with the assigned readings, document presentations, and assessments. Since we will be completing group activities for the next two units, there will be no daily quizzes scheduled for Unit #5 and Unit #6.
TUESDAY, February 21st
- Complete: Outside Reading Test (1776, Wounded Knee, or Miracle at Philadelphia)
- Discussion/Presentation: Student Groups will present their questions/assigned topics on Chapter 12 - "Dynamics of Growth"
WEDNESDAY, February 22nd
- Complete: Unit Quiz #4 (Chapters 10-12)
- Discussion/Presentation: Student Groups will present their Unit #4 documents assigned last week. Groups should have a PowerPoint ready to present to the class covering the specific questions about each document.
- Due: Map Assignment #4
THURSDAY, February 23rd
- Introduction: Discuss the general themes of Unit #5 (Chapters 13-15)
- Assign: Bare Bones #5/Map Assignment #5/Documents #5
- Discussion/Presentation: Student Groups will present their questions/assigned topics on Chapter 13 - "An American Renaissance: Religion, Romanticism, & Reform"
FRIDAY, February 24th
- Discussion/Presentation: Student Groups will present their questions/assigned topics on Chapter 15 - "The Old South"
- Complete: Students will complete a Free-Response Question and write a five-paragraph essay over Unit #4 topics to complete the FRQ for Unit #4. Students will be able to use an index card with information on the essay.
MONDAY, February 27th
- Discussion/Presentation: Student Groups will present their questions/assigned topics on Chapter 14 - "Manifest Destiny"
- Discussion/Presentation: Student Groups will present their assigned Unit #5 documents. Groups should have a PowerPoint ready to present to the class covering the specific questions about each document.
TUESDAY, February 28th
- Introduction: Discuss the general themes of Unit #6 (Chapters 16-18)
- Assign: Bare Bones #6/Map Assignment #6/Documents #6
- Discussion/Presentation: Student Groups will present their questions/assigned topics on Chapter 16 - "The Crisis of Union"
