Here is a copy of the check-off list:

In addition, I would do the following:

1)  Work on the packet you received in class.  This will review all the grammar!

2)  Review vocabulary 1-12.  Remember to use www.quizlet.com or www.cambridgelatincourse.com to help you with this.

3)  Review your derivative sheets for Stages 1-12.

4)  Review your culture review sheets and/or culture articles in your textbook for stages 1-12.

5)  Don't forget to bring your Verb Chart to the Final Exam!

The Last Week - Latin I

This is what you need to accomplish this week:

1)  Go over the Review Packet.

2)  Culture - Stage 12

3)  Derivatives - Stage 12

4)  Fill in Verb Charts

5)  Turn in Crustula.

6)  Recite.

7)  Turn in workbook.

We will be working on these things this week!  If we get it all done, we will watch a movie about the Final Days of Pompeii.  You'll like it!

If you have make-ups or re-dos, I will be available Monday p.m., Tuesday a.m. & p.m., Wednesday p.m.

May 14 & 15, 2009 - Latin I

Thursday:

We finished up going over Vocabulary Stage 12 and filling out the purple sheet.

Next, we discussed the Recitation Project for next week.  Please see the blog entry which give the audio of this Recitation which will help you practice.

We then finished up translating the stories for Stage 12.  In 4th block we were able to go over the first three stories.

Friday:

We had a short class today because of the Yearbook Assembly.  We worked on turning in crustula and exam exemptions during that time.  I also collected the workbooks.

Homewor:

1)  Work on your recitations.

2)  In preparation for the exam review your vocabulary lists, derivative sheets, and reread the culture articles in your textbook.  You will receive a study guide and outline of the final on Monday.

May 13, 2009 - Latin I

We began today by continuing with the vocabulary for Stage 12.  We also went over the vocabulary quiz from yesterday.

We then finished up the fabula 10 & 11 story and went over it.

Next, I gave out the assignments for the Stage 12 stories, and everyone began working on them.

Homework:  Continue collecting your crustula and study your vocabulary for the final!

May 12, 2009 - Latin I

We reviewed today for the Vocabulary Quiz over Stages 10 & 11, and then we took the quiz.

Afterwards, I returned the Culture Quizzes from yesterday, and we went over them.

We then began the vocabulary for Stage 12.

Next, we divided into groups and did the story for Stages 10 & 11.  (2nd block did not get to translate.)

Homework:  1)  Start getting your crustula organzed, 2) start studying your vocabulary for the final, and 3) prepare for any make-ups/re-dos you need to do.

May 11, 2009 - Latin I

We began today by going over the culture for Stage 11 (pages 85 & 86 in the workbook).

Everyone then took the Culture Quizzes for stage 10 & 11.

As people finished, we did the derivative worksheet for Stage 11.  We went over this at the end of class and then reviewed for tomorrow's vocabulary quiz over Stages 10 & 11.

Homework:  Study for your vocabulary quiz over Stages 10 & 11.  Reminder: you can go to www.cambridgelatincourse.com or www.quizlet.com to practice.

May 11 -13, 2009 - Latin III

Monday - Test over Stage 27.

Tuesday - Test Corrections over Stage 27.

1)  Finish the subjunctive worksheet - "27.4 - Uses of the Subjunctive"

2)  Vocabulary Sheet for Stage 28 + the derivative crossword on the back

3)  Model Sentences pages 142-144

4)  Culture for Stage 28 - workbook page 57, textbook pages 156-162

May 8, 2009 - Latin III

We began today by reviewing the vocabulary for Stage 27.  We played the 1-2-3 game.

We then went over the translation & worksheet for Modestus promotus.

Next, we reviewed for the Stage 27 Test, which is on Monday.

Finally, everyone practiced their subjunctive clauses by doing a worksheet.

Homework:  Finish the worksheet and get ready for Monday's test.

May 8, 2009 - Latin I

We began today by going over the Vocabulary for Stage 11.  We then translated the Model Sentences for Stage 11.

Next, we went to the Lab to practice the Vocabulary for Stage 11.

Homework:  The Culture Quizzes are on Monday for Stages 10 & 11.  They will be open book.  In preparation, do the culture section in the textbook and workbook for Stage 11 (pages 85 & 86).
