MIssissippi State University College of Architecture, Art, and Design

The College of Architecture, Art & Design at Mississippi State University is offering an eight-day summer workshop that is intended to answer many questions about design and architecture as fields of study and as professions. The major goal of the workshop is to simulate the information, skill, and intensity required for a design education, while providing a clear insight into the practice or architecture. With this experience, it will be possible for participants to make an informed career decision about architecture and its related design disciplines. Students interested in applying should see Mrs. Cook in the Counseling Office. Applications must be completed and submitted by June 1, 2011.

Camp Braveheart

Camp Braveheart came in to being in 1999 when a group of hospice volunteers wanted to give something back to their communities. Camp Braveheart is for children between the ages of 7 to 14 who have lost a loved one to death, be it to a terminal illness or an unexpected death. Morehouse College- Project Identity

Project Identity Summer Institute gives rising academically gifted sophomore and junior African American and other minority male students an exciting glimpse into academic college life. This 3 week residential program replicates the college experience with an intense curriculum and enrichment activities to assist in developing academic, social, and leadership skills. Project Identity believes that students succeed when given the tools they need in order to pursue higher education. Year Up

Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults 18-24, with a unique combination of technical and professional skills, college credits, an educational stipend and corporate internship. Year Up Atlanta is now accepting applications for their next class that begins in September and graduates July 2012. Early applications are encouraged as space is limited. The Capstone Business Academy is a 10-day residential summer program designed for academically exceptional rising high school seniors interested in obtaining an education and pursuing a career in business. Participants interact on an individual basis with University professors and working professionals through a variety of presentations and experiences. Oxford Advance Studies Program

The Oxford Advanced Studies Program offers a superb academic curriculum in a range of subjects, taught through stimulating small-group seminars and weekly one-on-one tutorials.
