Dear High School Administrators, Teachers and Counselors:
Georgia Tech’s Society of Women Engineers (SWE) student chapter has 2 exciting opportunities coming up for high school girls! Please let the girls at your school know about these unique programs:
1) SWE is hosting a Spring High School Engineering Outreach Program for high school girls in grades 9-12 who are interested in math or science. The event will be on Saturday, April 14 from 9:00AM to 2:30PM on Georgia Tech’s Campus. Space is limited to 100 girls on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register early! For more info and to register, visit: http://swehsoutreachspring2012.eventbrite.com. If you have any questions, please email Aline and Isabella at swehsoutreach@gmail.com.
2) SWE is excited to announce their Little SWE initiative! Through this program, we hope to establish SWE chapters at local Atlanta high schools, pair high school girls with Georgia Tech student mentors, and host these students at Georgia Tech for a day to experience engineering in action. Please contact Amanda or Patricia at swelittleswe@gmail.com if you are interested in establishing a SWE chapter at your high school.
