Monday (1/23) - 1) Students complete Classroom Objects worsheet which they received on Friday to practice with classroom objects vocabulary. 2) Students complete Classroom Objects Matching. 3) Students select a Latin Name. 4) Students take notes over Roman Naming and Childhood. 4) Students make their very own symbol of Roman childhood, a BULLA.
HOMEWORK: STUDY THE INTRODUCTORY VOCABULARY ABOUT GREETINGS, NUMBERS, ANIMALS, COLORS, AND CLASSROOM OBJECTS.
Tuesday (1/24) - 1) Students turns in Bulla Extra Credit Assignment if they completed it yesterday.Students will receive 5 bonus points on our next assessment for wearing their Bulla to class. 2) Students practice with Latin greetings, numbers, colors, and basic questions by completing Foundations Practice Quiz. 3) Students are placed in groups of two to three to complete gods/goddesses matching activity. Students match the gods using their Greek name, Roman Name, and sphere of influence. 4) Students complete Introduction Materials Practice Quest on which they read a story in Latin about a classroom. The story uses new vocabulary about greetings, numbers, animals, colors, and classroom objects. The students then answer the 12 questions which follow the story. 5) Students practice with new vocabulary by writing out the English meaning of the Latin vocabulary word for greetings, numbers, animals, colors, and classroom objects on their own individual white boards.

Wednesday (1/25) - 1) Students practice with Latin greetings, numbers, colors, and basic questions by completing Foundations Quiz. 2) Students correctly decorate their Italy Cookie using icing and chips to indicate important geographical locations in Italy. 3) We review the answers to the Introduction Materials Practice Quest as a class. 4) Students translate a Latin story about a classroom into English. 5) Students practice with new vocabulary by writing out the English meaning of the Latin vocabulary word for greetings, numbers, animals, colors, and classroom objects on their own individual white boards. 6) Students complete their textbook quest using their Ecce Romani 1 textbook.

Thursday (1/26) - 1) Students complete a Quest over the Introductory Vocabulary of greetings, numbers, animals, colors, and classroom objects. 2) Students complete Chapter 1 Vocabulary Sort (words can be found on p.3 of the textbook) 3) Students correctly label Chapter 1 picture with new vocabulary. 4) Students listen to the Chapter 1 Story read aloud. 5) Students read the Chapter 1 Story aloud. 6) Students translate the Chapter 1 Story (story can be found on p.3 of the textbook) into English.

Friday (1/27) - 1) Students review Chapter 1 Vocabulary with ppt. 2) We review the correct translation of the Chapter 1 Story as a class. 3) Students complete ex.1a on p.7 of the textbook to check their understanding of the Chapter 1 Story. 4) Students practice with the vocabulary for Chapter 1 by visiting the www.tabney.com website and clicking of Ecce Romani 1, Chapter 1, Vocabulary Activities. 5) Students practice with English derivatives that come from the Chapter 1 Vocabulary words by completing workbook p.p.4-5 act.1f. 6) Students take notes on basic parts of speech (nouns, adjectives, and verbs) and practice identifying these parts of speech in Latin by completing textbook p.5 ex.1b and workbook p.2 act. 1e. 7) Students learn three different ways to translate Latin verbs and practice it by completing workbook p.2, act. 1c. 8) Students practice writing in Latin by completing textbook p. 5 ex. 1b and workbook p.3 act.1f.
