Genetics Week of 1/17/12

Tuesday 1/17:

  • Go over homework problems
  • Di-hybrid & tri-hybrid practice
  • Chi-squared notes (see pp. 56-59 in genetics book)
  • HW:  p. 67 #23 & 24 for tomorrow; read Genome 4 & 9 by Friday; quiz Thursday on all problem types except Chi-squared (see unit 1 power point entry for online practice)

Wednesday 1/18:

  • Go over homework problems
  • Chi-squared M & M lab
  • HW:  Finish lab; keep reading Genome 4 & 9; quiz tomorrow on all problem types except Chi-squared (see unit 1 power point entry for online practice)

Thursday 1/19:

  • Punnett & Pedigree Quiz
  • Non-mendelian inheritance
  • Human disorders
  • HW:  Finish reading Genome 4 & 9--be ready to discuss; work on reading ch. 4 in genetics book by Monday

Friday 1/20:

  • Genome 4 & 9 Clock Buddies discussion
  • Human disorders
  • HW:  Read ch. 4 & complete review problems by Tuesday (ch.3 p. 66-69 #6, 22, 28, 33 & ch. 4 pp. 101-103 #5, 24, 30)
