Hon U.S. History

Part I of final exam review sheet was distributed today.  Students must complete part I and show to me before receiving part II.  Review sheet is due on day of final exam for a grade.

We are working on group decades projects for presentations.  This is a major project grade.  Students must be present on day of their group's presentation or grade will be seriously deducted.  Presentations will procede according to the following schedule:  Th 5/14  1950's; F 5/15  1960's; M 5/18  1970's; Tu 5/19 1980's; W  5/20  1990's.

Psychology

We took the posttest today.  Students received part I of final exam review sheet.  When this portion is completed and shown to me they will receive part II.  Review sheet is due before final exam for a grade.  One 8 1/2 X 11" "cheat sheet" may be used on the final exam.

We have been working on group projects on psychological disorders. Download Disorder Group Project Project presentations will begin this Thurs w/ Anxiety and will procede according to the following schedule: 

5/14  Anxiety; 5/15  Dissociative; 5/18  Mood;  5/19  Schizophrenia; 5/20  Personality.  Remember that your group's handout and assessment are due to me for copying the day before your presentation.

Students must be present on the day of your group's presentation or your grade will be seriously deducted.

Honors U.S. History

EOCT tomorrow and Thursday.  Use your class NB to review / study.  Use the packets that have been distributed over the past week for Post WW II info.  Check the power point that was posted previously on post WW II Presidential administrations.  Check state Dept of Edu website for EOCT review.  You were shown how to access this today.

Began presentations on Mod 33.  Students completed study guides as presentations were made.

HW:  We will finish presentations tomorrow.  Ch 14 Test M, 5/4 - open book and HW/NB on test day; make ups will be regular testing conditions (no book, HW, NB, etc.)  Mod 33 study guide will be due as tests are finished on Monday.

Hon U.S. History

Collected take home tests.  Discussed remainder of items on Cold War Timeline.  Watched DVD program on 1960-1980 politics.  Handed out study packet on Vietnam War.

HW:  Read Vietnam Packet and answer questions in margins.  Cold War Tiimeline and Korean War map due tomorrow.  WW II NB assignments due tomorrow.  You should be reviewing nightly for EOCT - test dates:  W-Th, 5/6-7.

Psychology

Collected DVD wkshts from program viewing on 4/4.  Handed out wksht "All the World's a Stage".  Worked on group presentations on Mod 33.  Turned in study guide questions / answers.

HW:  We will present Mod 33 topics Th and Fri.  Students will fill out study guides from group presentations.  Ch 14 Test M, 5/4 (open book / HW for students who are present in class on test day; make ups will be regular testing conditions).  Mod 33 Study guides due M, 5/4.

Completed activity sheet "How do you handle conflicts?"  and group activity "Abandon Ship".  Bring your handouts back to class tomorrow for discussion / debrief.

HW:  REad pp. 620-625 & answer question #5 on Ch 14 study guide.

Hon U.S. History

Watched DVD program on "FDR:  Years of Crisis" and wrote summaries.  If you did not finish in class finish for HW and turn in tomorrow.
