VISUAL ART COMP I/ARTHISTORY

WEEK 3  January 23-Jan 29  Second and Third Period

SKETCHBOOK ASSIGNMENT DUE: NEXT Friday  (Beginning of Period).

Your sketches must be in your spiral bound, 9"x12" sketchbook:

Sketch #1: Draw a shape drawing of your kitchen table. Step back and try to view the whole table. The spaces between the table legs are the negative shapes. Example:

Sketch #2: Place three objects on the top of the table. Sketch this. Example:

Gesture 3 Example

Egyptian_4_menkaure      Art History this week: Egyptian Art

Classwork: Continue contour drawing and begin Positive/Negative shape investigations. We will START an Egyptian Cartouche that you will finish outside of class. The positive/negative shape project will require some work outside of class, and the due date will be announced.
