Students will complete a set of working drawings for a Relief Valve Body. Included in this set of drawings will be a Top, Front and Right Side View with Hidden Lines and Center Lines, and an Isometric. Views will be fully dimensioned.
Students will submit completed work for evaluation and revise until there are 20 or fewer errors in the drawing.
Criteria for this assignment is as follows:
Title: Relief Valve Body Scale: 1/2" = 1" or 1:2
- Freehand Sketch of Top, Front and Right Side Views (Object Lines Only).
- Have sketch checked and obtain signature to move forward.
- Draw Top, Front and Right Side Views (Object Lines Only) to 1/2 Scale.
- Add Hidden and Center Lines to Sketch.
- Have sketch ckecked and obtain 2nd signature to move forward.
- Add Hidden and Center Lines to Drawing.
- Construct an Isometric View at 1/2" Scale
- Remove ALL Construction Lines.
- Add Dimensions to Top, Front and Right Side Views. There should be 34 total.
When Turning in Drawing, students will also submit their Sketch with (2) signatures and their assignment sheet. Students having more than 20 errors will revise and resubmit until the goal of 20 or less has been met. Once met, students will receive computer priveleges and the use of AutoCAD.
BONUS!!! Students completing this assignment with 20 or fewer errors on their first attempt will receive a 20 point bonus. In other words, focus on quality from the beginning.
