For this assignment, students will select an object containing a minimum of (5) parts. Students electing to work together will select objects containing 5 parts for each student. These objects must contain at least (1) Curve to Curve Intersection to be approved.
Once the object is approved, students will be responsible for the following:
- Business Letter requesting approval of item.
- Signed by student and teacher.
- Exploded Assembly Sketch
- Parts identified by name, number, quantity required and material.
- Detailed Technical Sketches of ALL individual parts.
- Dimensioned Technical Sketches of ALL individual parts.
- CAD Generated, Isometric OR 3 Dimensional Solid Models of each part.
- Exploded Assembly
- Exploded Assembly Section
- Full Assembly
- Full Assembly Section
- Presentation quality prints
- Title Block
- Dimensions
- PowerPoint Presentation including all items listed above. 5-7 minutes.
- Portfolio including all items listed above.
These CAD files generally get very large. Due to limited space in student folders, it is recommended that students bring a flash drive or external hard drive to back-up all files.
