Download 6th - 12th Grade Health Georgia Performance Standards
This class is a combination of Health and Personal Fitness... This class is required for graduation... We will concentrate on the Health portion of the class the first 9 weeks and the Personal fitness portion the second 9 weeks... We will dress out every day and have classroom work and physical education... Make up days for excused absences are Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7:45-8:15 in the main gym... We will do some type of cardiovascular exercise each day...The class will be required to keep a notebook to prepare them for the final exam... They will have two finals: One for Health and one for Personal Fitness.

Week 1
Monday.. Gave Syllabus and went over grading procedures and class management...Students were to take form home to be signed about Best Life..Students will dress out beginning Tuesday..Students took notes on Heat related Illnesses..
Students will dress out and participate in cardiovascular exercises every day..
Tuesday.. Students are to turn in the form their parents signed for Best Life ..They will work in groups filling out the Open Compare and Contrast worksheets from the notes they took on Monday..They watched a short video on how important sleep and proper diet are to teenagers..
Wednesday.. Pre Test for Health .. If time permits we will walk on the track outside..
Thursday and Friday.. Fitness Gram Pretests..

This is our last unit for the Health portion of the class..When we finish it we will have a final exam over all the material we have covered this semester.. That will end the Health portion and the grade on the 12 weeks report card will be their final grade.. We will then go to the Personal Fitness book to finish out the semester..
