• We took a test over The Great Gatsby.  Hope you did well!  I will start grading them this weekend.

For Monday's class:

• No homework.  We will look at another work by F. Scott Fitzgerald on Monday, so we are not finished with him yet!
• AP Lang - Buy the things for your recipe this weekend.  Do not wait until the last minute.
• If you have not purchased a vocabulary workbook yet, what's up with that?  Just sayin'...

• We finished The Great Gatsby and our discussion of it.  Sorry some of you were not pleased with the ending...
• We began work on our cover art for The Great Gatsby.

• We looked at chapter 7 in The Great Gatsby and talked about Myrtle's unfortunate demise.

For Wednesday's class:

• Make sure that you read chapter 8 and complete your note card.
• Thanks to those who turned in the summer reading assignment on time.  I will grade them this weekend.

Today in class:

• We discussed the awkward situation with the Sloan family, repeating the past, and why Daisy didn't like the party at Gatsby's house. 

For Tuesday's class:

• Get ready for chaos to begin tonight in chapter 7.  We know someone is going to die, but who will it be?  Read it and see.  How will Tom react to the news of the affair?  How will Myrtle fit into all of this?  Will Nick be in an awkward situation yet again?  Complete your note card!
